Whitestone Capital Acquires Polaris Office Building in Columbus, Ohio

Whitestone Capital, a division of Whitestone Companies, today announced the acquisition of a 50,000-square-foot office building at 8405 Pulsar Place in Polaris, Central Ohio’s largest and most dynamic mixed-use development.

This acquisition marks Whitestone’s second major purchase in the Columbus area this year, following its acquisition of the Westin Great Southern Hotel in downtown Columbus earlier in 2025.

“This purchase will be our fourth asset in our hometown of Columbus and is vital to our continued growth,” said Jay Batra, CEO of Whitestone Companies. “Following an extensive renovation, we plan to relocate our corporate headquarters to this new office space early next year. It will provide the space, design, and location we need to support our continued rapid growth.”

Whitestone Companies currently has more than 26 active projects across the United States, with assets and developments in metro areas including Atlanta, New York, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, Columbus, and Cleveland.

The Polaris area was selected after an extensive citywide search to find the right blend of energy, amenities, and airport access which Whitestone found in the Polaris Centers of Commerce.

“We’re excited about what this new space will offer our associates, business partners, and investors,” said Chuck Groger, Chief Revenue Officer of Whitestone Companies. “We’ve researched the latest trends in office design and visited several cutting-edge workspaces around the city. This new office will incorporate innovative ideas that reflect how people truly collaborate and communicate today.”

The renovated headquarters will introduce several new features to the organization:

  • Four T-Suites designed for high-quality video conferencing
  • LM Space, a living-room-style meeting area with no tables to encourage creativity and conversation
  • A Recharge Bar with a coffee shop-style layout for informal meetings and relaxation
  • Two Sound Suites designed for private focused conversations
  • Flex Walls - Open-floor concepts with moving glass walls to open up space for special events
  • Commuter Connection flexible space designated for remote personnel visiting the office
  • Homestyle reception area with a fireplace, digital wall, and unique moving art pieces
  • Reimaged Design Library to house even more options for future designs

“This space will bring together all four of our divisions and allow us to foster growth through intentional, creative office design,” Batra added.

This Polaris building marks Whitestone's sixth transaction in the past 12 months, with additional acquisitions in New Jersey, Minnesota, and across Ohio.
